Storyteller is a short but fun game that I played on my phone for “free” via the Netflix app. In the game you recreate classical stories from Adam and Eve to Romeo and Juliet. It gives you the components of a story; the people, scenes, events, items, and it’s up to you to put together components in the right order and mixture to get a desired outcome. For example, get to the original ending of Romeo and Juliet.

There is much satisfaction in solving those puzzles as well as some of the more unexpected consequences. You will, at some point, have unintended results, some rather humorous. After “beating” each puzzle there are other challenges to achieve difficult results, adding to the playtime or replayability.

This one reminded me a lot of the Grow flash game series back in the day, in which you chose the items to introduce to the environment and based on that ordering you could get vastly different results. Both games leave room for experimentation while also rewarding well planned coordination.

For a time it was great to solve a puzzle or two as I winded down for bed. Full price might be a bit of a stretch though. I am a cheapskate so factor that in.
