You can forget a lot in three months. If you hit your head right you could forget your whole life. I’ve forgotten a lot over the past 3 months, hence why these early reviews will tend to be short, succinct, less intensive. I have to catch my writing up to the present. I forgot that I played The Forgotten City, but I haven’t forgotten the game itself, the story and themes.
A time loop experience in a Roman city punished by a Golden Law if any “sins” are committed. The game is based off a popular Skyrim mod, or so I hear. As a fan of mythology I thorougly enjoyed exploring this small self-contained world. Spoiler coming. The plot was really not too surprising, maybe I heard one too many clues about the conclusion, partially a give away from the game itself when it says, “please do not spoil past the white hallway” or something like that. OK, I said to myself, a dramatic shift must occur there. That said, the moment itself did not disappoint and was very beautiful to behold.
A fun game overall with great characters to meet, an entertaining story to unfold, multiple endings, and a bow shooting segment that most reviewers don’t seem to like but I enjoyed. Stealth archer for life.
