The I really like the concept of the game mechanics behind the Kingdom series. A fairly passive game of strategy, an auto-battler that relies on the player investing in the right resources at the right time. There appears to be a multitude of Kingdom spin-offs, with the 80s version being the most intriguing to me. Unfortunately I am not a big fan of the mechanics in practice, probably a fault of my own but I get bored, make rash decisions, everything goes to shit and I have to restart. I played enough to learn the basics, excel in my starting location, build a ship and travel to “New Lands”. When more of the same greeted me there. I packed up and moved on, metaphorically, and literally too, I guess.
